Coach Tambeiro is happy with the three points

Brno, Czech Republic, June 27, 2017 – Brazil’s coach and captain explained their team’s start in Pool F of the FIVB Volleyball Men’s U21 World Championship in Brno with the fact that they needed time to adjust to the new surroundings.

Nery Pereira Tambeiro Junior, coach of Brazil: “It was our first game at this gym, so we needed time to get used to it. It was difficult, but we are happy with the three points.”

Silva Goncalves, captain of Brazil: “Canada has a great team and we needed some time to reach our ideal performance. Now we are already thinking about the next match.”

Gino Brousseau, coach of Canada: “We are disappointed because we did not win today. We knew our opponents are strong, but we succeeded in coming back into the game and then we did well. However, we lost patience and the match too.”

Matthew Mawdsley, captain of Canada: “In the second set we were back in the game, but after that we were sloppy and unfortunately lost today.”
