Tough match for both teams

Happy face of Cuba's coach Nicolas Vives Coffigny after the match against Iran

Brno, Czech Republic, June 27, 2017 – Both sides acknowledged that it was a long and tough match between Cuba and Iran at the FIVB Volleyball Men’s U21 World Championship in Brno.

Nicolas Vives Coffigny, coach of Cuba: “It was a really long match. We play more and more stable. The main goal is the victory.”

Adrian Eduardo Goide, captain of Cuba: “I think we had a really good game and we fought hard to win the match, which was difficult against Iran.”

Behrouz Ataei, coach of Iran: “Cuba is playing a different style of volleyball from ours. They do not play tactical volleyball. We can play with each other at 50% to 50%, but unfortunately we lost today.”

Rasoul Aghchehli, captain of Iran: “The match was very hard today and I must say Cuba has a really strong team.”
