Poles not pleased with performance

Brno, Czech Republic, June 27, 2017 – Despite starting the second stage of the FIVB Volleyball Men’s U21 World Championship with a 3-2 victory over China, Poland’s coach and captain are not very happy with the team’s performance in the match.

Sebastian Pawlik, coach of Poland: “We wanted to win today, but not in such a long match. We did not play well, especially in the second and the third set.”

Jakub Kochanowski, captain of Poland: “It is good that we won, but the way we were playing was not satisfactory. In the second and the third sets China served very well and we could not receive well. I am happy that after that the game changed.”


Ju Genyin, coach of China: “Today’s match was very hard for us. We did not manage the end of the game well.”

Zhihao Liu, captain of China: “We did not win the match, but we played well in two of the sets.”
