Mozambique players celebrate after their U21 triumphs
Lausanne, Switzerland, April 3, 2017- Mozambique enjoyed double gold at the 2017 CAVB U21 Beach Volleyball Championships as their women and men’s teams topped the podiums at the Sixth October Club in Cairo, Egypt on Sunday.
In the women’s competition Mozambique defeated Egypt 2-1 (21-10, 18-21, 15-13), while South African won the bronze with a 2-1 (15-21, 21-13, 15-6) victory over Nigeria.
Mozambique’s men beat Morocco 2-1 (20-22, 21-19, 18-16), while Egypt won bronze by beating Democratic Republic of the 2-0 (21-17, 21-13).
