Japanese sensational victory over Turkey not enough for a top spot in Pool H

České Budějovice, Czech Republic, June 27, 2017 – Yudai Arai from Japan was the best scorer of this match with 19 points and overpowered together with his team the Turkish players, who still claim their top spot in Pool H.

The total score 21-25, 22-25, 25-23, 20-25 is still enough for Turkey to be on top of their pool.

In the first set Japan performed a better spiking rate. Kento Miyaura was the main power of Japan in this set with 6 points and claimed a 21-25 score.

The Japanese kept their focus on every ball. In the end of the second set it was Turkey with an unforced error which costed them a chance of winning the set.

Turkey started the third set better, overpowering the Japanese team by a 25-23 score.
Both teams played a close game in the fourth set.

By the end of the set Turkey couldn’t keep up with the 'warrior mode' by the Japanese and had to accept their loss.
