Brno, Czech Republic, June 23, 2017 – The big difference between Poland and Morocco during their first match at the FIVB Volleyball Men’s U21 World Championship was acknowledged by both sides after the end of the game, which the European team won in straight sets.

Sebastian Pawlik, coach of Poland: "The most important thing is that we won today. I am glad. We have a lot of matches ahead of us, so we must rest now."

Jakub Kochanowski, captain of Poland: "We played very well today, but playing against Morocco was not so difficult. For us every step at this championship is important. Today we made a good step towards the gold medal, so I am happy."

Mohammed Abdellaoui Maan, coach of Morocco: "Poland's national team is very strong. They have good players and they have good strategy in the game. My team is young team and we did not play a lot of matches. My goal at this tournament is to gain experiences for my players. Their performance will improve as the tournament unfolds."

Karim Lamri, captain of Morocco: "Poland are very strong so it is very difficult to play against them the way we want. It was our first match at the championship and it was really difficult."
