Ceske Budejovice, Czech Republic, June 23, 2017 – Jan Franchi Martinez set his team off to a flying start in the FIVB Men’s U21 World Championship in České Budějovice beating Ukraine in three straight sets (25-21, 25-16 and 25-20) in the first Pool C match.
Franchi Martinez was the top scorer of this game contributing 13 points and with a solid performance from the rest of the Argentinean team, Ukraine left the Budvar Arena confused and disappointed.
The first set promised to be an equal chance for both teams, however it was Argentina closing the gap 25-21.
Ukraine tried to keep up with the speed of Argentina. However they found their strength in the blocks in both the second and third set. In the end, it was Argentina closing every set with condifence.
