Host City: Brno

The Czech Republic is hosting an FIVB age-group World Championship for the third time. On the previous two occasions the tournament took place in Brno, the country’s second largest city with a population of 370,000.

In 1991 the city played host to the FIVB Women’s U20 World Championship, with the USSR claiming gold. Twenty-two years on the city welcomed the tournament back when the Chinese women’s U20 side beat their Japanese rivals in the 2013 final.
