Yudai Arai showed great performance again and led Japan to final 13th place

Ceske Budejovice, Czech Republic, July 2, 2017 – Japanese outside spiker Yudai Adai scored a total of 21 points in their 1-3 victory over USA (25-23, 23-25, 15-25, 20-25), finishing the team on the 13th place at the FIVB Men’s U21 World Championship.

United States of America started their match against Japan well but couldn’t keep the pace after the second set. When Japan levelled the score 1-1, the Americans stepped up their blocking game. With 12 killer blocks and Japan 5, the Japanese needed all their skills to overpower the American team.

The third set was dominated by Japan and the American team had no answer to the strong spikes and had to accept the ten point difference.
Fourth set was close with the teams levelling the scores. The American team couldn’t make a side-out twice and Japan celebrated the victory and claimed the 13th spot this Championship.
