Brno, Czech Republic, June 25, 2017 – The coaches and the captains of Cuba and Turkey gave their traditional mixed zone statements after their teams decided the second place in Pool B at the FIVB Volleyball Men’s U21 World Championship with a hard-fought head-to-head clash.

Nicolas Vives Coffigny, coach of Cuba: “I am really happy. The Turkish national team is a really good team and we played well against them today. We were simply better.”

Adrian Eduardo Goide, captain of Cuba: “Today it was a hard game for us. This victory is really important. I am really happy that we reached the second stage among the top eight teams.

Ali Kazim Hidayetoglu, coach of Turkey: “We played the second and the third sets well, but then our middle blocker had an injury. Unfortunately, after that we lost our system and the match too.”

Abdullah Cam, captain of Turkey: “Our opponent fought for every point today, while on our side we produced too many mistakes.”
