Tough match for Russia - Khromenkov

Brno, Czech Republic, June 28, 2017 – While the Russians were happy with the result, but not so much with their performance against Canada, the Canadians were pleased to have challenged the European powerhouse.

Vladimir Khromenkov, coach of Russia: “I am satisfied with the result, but it was a tough game. Canada did not give up easily.”

Konstantin Abaev, captain of Russia: “We did not play a good game. We were missing emotions. But important is the victory.”

Gino Brousseau, coach of Canada: “Russia are probably one of the best teams here and I am satisfied because we challenged them.”

Matthew Mawdsley, captain of Canada: “It was the same as yesterday. Now we must prepare well for the next match.”
