Teams know what to improve for next stage

Coach Pawlik interviewed by the media after the match

Brno, Czech Republic, June 25, 2017 – Having already secured their advancement in the FIVB Volleyball Men’s U21 World Championship, Poland and Canada still wanted to win their last Pool A match in Brno.

Sebastian Pawlik, coach of Poland: “It was not a beautiful game today, but we are glad that we won. Today we played at our minimum of good game.”

Jakub Kochanowski, captain of Poland: “The only one thing that we have to improve in the future matches is to focus earlier than we did today, because after the first two sets is already too late when playing against the likes of Russia. If we improve this, we will play better.”

Gino Brousseau, coach of Canada: “It is very good that we qualified among the top eight, but today I am not satisfied, because we did not win, although we came to win. But I must say my team is still progressing and we are playing better and better.”

Matthew Mawdsley, captain of Canada: “We are happy to be in the top eight. Now, after these three matches, we know what we can do well and what we need to improve.”
