Ceske Budejovice, Czech Republic, June 28, 2017 – Andrii Rohozhyn and Oleh Plotnytskyi both excelled in their match against Japan and helped Ukraine celebrate their first victory this FIVB Men’s U21 tournament by 3-1.
The Japanese started the match not as they woud have liked with errors on the receiving side. The aces by Ukraine were valid for 10 points against only 3 for Ukraine. The first set resulted in a 23-25 win.
In the second set, Ukraine scored point after point easily and sealed it with a 14-25 victory.
Japan learned from this experience as they succesfully grabbed the third set 26-24 by great play from Kenta Takanashi who found his way on the court with ease and scored 6 points.
In the fourth set Ukraine played a good defensive game, allowing them solid chances for break points which helped to stay ahead of the Japanese team. With control, they closed the set 21-25 and celebrated their first victory in Ceske Budejovice.
