Ceske Budejovice, Czech Republic, June 29, 2017 – Omar Aly showed great performance again and helped Egypt to achieve an important victory over USA 3-1 (25-22, 23-25, 25-18, 25-19).
Egypt started their game better in the first set and quickly took the lead. The American opposite players showed great skills by scoring 9 points each, however it was Egypt closing the set with a narrow escape 25-22.
In the second set USA improved their game and continued playing a lot of important balls with their opposite Kyle Ensing whose attack was still above 50% and scored another 9 points. Both teams had equal chances and their game went up and down several times. However the United States played better at the end of set levelling the set score 1-1
In the third set United States gave scoring opportunities away to Egypt. Egypt started very slowly and USA was in significant lead, however one perfect block and two aces from Egypt completely changed the game and Egypt increased their lead to 2-1.
Egypt took the lead immediately in the fourth set and created a 9-point lead and closed the set in the end 25-19.
