Kento Miyaura performance helps Japan claim second win

 

Ceske Budejovice, Czech Republic, June 27, 2017 – Kento Miyaura's strong allround performance helped Japan beat Morroco 3-1.

With 21 points, Miyaura helped his team to celebrate a second win at the FIVB Volleyball Men’s U21 World Championship. Except for the serving errors – they made a total of 18 – it was smooth sailing in this first second round match. 

Japan started the first set with ease as they controlled the game at all times with no chance for Morocco to lead with a 19-25 result.In the second set, Japan continued their tactics from the first set with an average above 50% attack rate and closed the set 20-25. 


The Japanese lost their focus in the third set and made errors on the receiving side of the game. Morocco took their chance and sealed the set with a win: 25-22. 

In the fourth set, Japan managed to leave the third set loss behind them as they played as they did in the first two sets. They closed the last set 21-25.
