Emotion needed to win against Argentina

 

Coach Khromenkov answers the media's questions after the match

Brno, Czech Republic, June 27, 2017 – In what was really an emotional match at the FIVB Volleyball Men’s U21 World Championship, Russia gained a 3-1 victory over Argentina. Both sides paid compliments to each other after the game.

Vladimir Khromenkov, coach of Russia: “It was a nervous game. Argentina has a very strong team. I had to give emotions to my team to win against Argentina.”

Konstantin Abaev, captain of Russia: “We knew that Argentina has a good team that can play without mistakes. I am happy to have won this match.”


Alejandro Grossi, coach of Argentina: “It was a really hard match against an opponent who played very well. They are really tall and have strong serves and attacks. We had an opportunity in the first set, but we failed.”

Ignacio Roberts, captain of Argentina: “We can play better. We are not happy about our performance, but we have two more matches and we are now thinking about them.”
