České Budějovice, Czech Republic, June 23, 2017 – Despite losing the third set, China claimed victory against Japan 3:1 (25-21, 25-23, 22-25 and 25-16). Both teams advanced their attacks, however blocking was China’s biggest quality.
Best scorer of the match was Japanese opposite player n. 6 Kento Miyaura who scored solid amount of 23 points with 54% success rate. Best player of China was also opposite player n.5 Yuantai Yu with 20 points.
Both teams started the match watching each other’s moves very carefully.
China took the lead in a slow pace. Japan took advantage of China’s errors in the third set and claimed it with pride. Leading in the fourth set, China regrouped and showed the Budvar Stadium that they deserved to win this match.
