Argentina takes the lead thanks to strong spikes

 

Ceske Budejovice, Czech Republic, June 24, 2017 – An outstanding spike performance by Argentina was on dispay at the FIVB Volleyball Men’s U21 World Championship. The South Americans won by an impressive 32-30, 25-19, 14-25 and 25-21. 

The Budvar Arena warmed up for an entertaining Pool C match between Argentina and Italy. The start by Argentina was played well, however the spiking skills by the Italian team surprised the South Americans. It was a battle for both teams to clinch the first set, however it was Argentina that made it with a strong spike and claimed the 30-28 score. 


The second set was favor of Argentina, who played strong attacks The smooth reception of the ball by Italians was not enough. The best player of this set was Agustín Loser, middle blocker of Argentina with five points. 

A big upset for Argentina in the third set as they score became a quick 0-4 and 1:7. Italy took control over the set by strong attacks. 

However, the biggest upset was for Italy as they lost their hope during the fourth set on a placement in the best eight of this tournament.
