Andrii Rohozhyn leads Ukraine to final 11th place

 

Ceske Budejovice, Czech Republic, July 2, 2017 – Andrii Rohozhyn showed a perfect performance scoring 25 points in five sets against Egypt, claiming the 11th placement this FIVB Men’s U21 Championship.

It was down to a thrilling tie-break to decide which team deserved the 11th placement in this tournament. Ukraine played better in the fifth set and took the victory 2-3 (24-26, 22-25, 25-22, 25-21, 11-15).

Ukraine started the first two sets well, claiming both with solid attacks. Egypt found their pace back and took away both the third and fourth set thanks to their spikes and formidable digging actions.
 

 The beginning of the tie-break was very close. Egypt started their fifth set better but Ukraine did not give up the fight. With two points ahead leading up to the end of the game, the Ukrainian team claimed the victory.
