Ceske Budejovice, Czech Republic, July 1, 2017 – One of the best performances in one match was seen today in Ceske Budejovice as Adis Lagumdzija from Turkey scored 36 points in four sets and helped Turkey to outplay Egypt 3:1 (25-21, 20-25, 28-26, 31-29) in the playoffs.
First set started with Turkey’s stable play. Egypt fought to claim the set, however Turkey to be too strong.
In the second set, Egypt took the lead quicky by 6 points. With a couple of service errors at the end of the set, Egypt could claim the set.
The third set was nearly an exact copy of the first set, except for the score. Turkey took the lead straight away, Egypt recovered with 4 points ahead however Turkey followed closely and closed the set.
Turkey was far behind with 4-12 points in the fourth set but managed to recover well. Despite facing a couple of set balls from Egypt, they proved strong enough to focus in the right moment and took the victory.
